Our origins · 2019
Born from a belief in young people.
The idea of Early Smile Foundation was birthed in 2019 by a group of teenagers who believed that opportunity changes everything. As young women growing up in Ghana, we witnessed how many peers lacked access to tools, mentorship, and supportive environments. Yet, when those opportunities appear, young people rise with resilience and brilliance.
ESF was born from this conviction: with education, innovation, and compassion, Africa’s youth can be equipped not just to dream, but to lead and transform their communities.

Our mission is to identify, inspire, equip, and connect young Africans through compassion, education, and innovation, enabling them to become creators of solutions for their communities and Africa as a whole.

We inspire creativity and forward thinking among Africa’s youth. By nurturing ideas and encouraging initiative, we equip them to design solutions that respond to real-world challenges and drive sustainable change.

At the heart of everything we do is humanity. We support vulnerable groups and underserved communities with empathy and care thus ensuring that no one is left behind as we build a brighter future together.
ESF creates the space for youth to flourish by sparking curiosity, opening minds, and providing the tools to dream and achieve. Our holistic approach meets young people at their point of need. For those without a clear dream, we open their eyes to possibility. For those already burning with ambition, we provide resources, mentorship, and encouragement to bring their goals to life.

By nurturing innovation alongside education and compassion, we aspire to equip a new generation of African problem-solvers who will shape their communities, influence decision making, and inspire the world.

Activities over the years
- Inspired young girls at the 18 December 2024 Otinibi STEM outreach to reconsider their futures and embrace innovative careers in STEM.
- Supported vulnerable young mothers with medical care and essentials, giving them the space to begin motherhood with dignity and hope.
- Journeyed with resilient orphans, some of whom are now pursuing higher education in institutions like the University of Cape Coast.
